Same name should not allowed to create. If you want to rename as per your requirement you can rename the PG or DV name anytime either before migration or after migration..

Hey Nawals,
At this point both Host were already removed prior to removing the Cluster from vCenter.
Those two VMs were never connected to the DVS but was connected to the VM Network and now is disconnected.
With nothing connected to the DVS I still can't remove it.
My only thought is because this Host wasn't in Maintenance Mode and the other one was when I deleted the Host it broke something.
Secondly, I could be wrong but shouldn't the DVS be removed prior to the Host deletion from the vCenter? I read that once the Host is remove the DVS should automatically be deleted also. Regardless of what I done. The only difference this Host was never in Maint Mode.
Maybe there's a command to manually remove it via CLI via SSH.

Snapshots unable to be deleted
I have a FreeNAS iSCSI target for my ESX home lab and for the past 6 months there have been no issues. FreeNAS has a connection to vcenter, snapshots are created and deleted without issue, at least until a day or so ago.
The following appears in the log files:

The message: Trying to add snapshot to disk which already has snapshot... Does this mean that the snapshot has already been consolidated and the snapshot file hasn't been removed correctly? I can create new snapshots, but cannot delete them.
I've looked through the vmsd file and matched all the snapshot names, everything seems to line up. Now I'm stuck with two VM's with about 15 un-removable snapshots on each.
Not quite sure where to go next and would appreciate a little assistance.

I want to thank you for all the help you have provided me in troubleshooting. As this is a homelab for learning and running numerous random projects, I have decided to go back to Proxmox w/ Ceph for my Hyper-converged solution. I continue to use vmware workstation for home and work on my local machine. While I know VMware is the giant and the best choice for full enterprises, I've spent more time trying to understand why I cannot easily copy over a vmdk and just have it work. I have also run into a week or more of frustration trying to figure out where some of the bottle necks are in my small setup. My system only have 64GB of ram and that works perfect for Proxmox w/ Ceph and XCP-ng but 2 of my hosts in this setup are running at over 50% ram usage. When I asked about this and provided my system details to other forum members, I was told this is to be expected. My last issue is that I haven't had any issues navigating the interface for any other hypervisor manager except for VCSA. I've used ESXi on individual hosts for awhile and didn't think it was complicated, hard to find settings, or troubleshoot interface or disk issues. Again I understand this product is meant for much larger environments and normally has more than one person working on the system at a time but I've seen numerous places where things could be radically simplified and still be perfectly functional.
The forum community here has been great and I'll still be come back for my VMware Workstation Pro questions.

GeForce GTX 1050 Ti - Passthough
Hi Everyone!
I had a PC running Parsec at my house so I could play games remotely. I've decided to give it more use and I've made a fresh install of the vSphere 7.
I was able to set the internal graphics card as default and enable the VT-D in the processor tab in BIOS. I've also added this the graphics card as passthrough in vSphere and added it on the host side.
In order to get the passthrough to work (Error: PCI passthrough devices cannot be added when Nested Hardware-Assisted Virtualization is enabled.) I needed to unselect the option Expose hardware assisted virtualization to the guest OS but for that I needed to disable VBS first.
Then I got into another error (Failed to register the device pciPassthru0 for 1:0.0 due to unavailable hardware or software support.) And for this one I needed to disable the option "Expose IOMMU to the guest OS"
I've also added the flag: hypervisor.cpuid.v0 = FALSE
After these steps I was able to boot the machine and install Windows 10. After the installation I've installed the NVIDIA drivers but I always getting the error 43 (windows has stopped this device).
I've tried lots of things and different flags but I can't get it to work.
PS: I have an external monitor plugged into the HDMI port of the graphics card

Workspace ONE Intelligent Hub displays "Agent Connection Failed" error on first time launch
Hello - I am currently using Windows 10, and downloaded and installed Workspace ONE Intelligent Hub from GetWSONE.com. Installation took almost 1 hr 45 minutes, then on first time launch I am getting the error "Agent connection failed". I restarted my laptop but no luck. Please help me to resolve this as without this I wont be able to do work from home of my official work.
Note: I tried uninstall and reinstall of it but getting same error. Workspace ONE Intelligent Hub Version I am using is 20.4.1.0.

vSphere With Kubernetes deployment issues
Hi All,
I have enabled the Workload management with Inress - 192.168.1.0/24 and Egress - 192.168.2.0/24 (vlan 2) and my TEP pool is under 192.168.0.1/24 (vlan3) ip pool and this network are routable.
Able to ping the interface form the external network and the Edge TEP Ip address from the ESXi host
Now I have Control plane node IP address - 192.168.1.1
And 3 Control plane VM having IP address of - 192.168.0.124, 125,126 and 127
So I can browse the 192.168.0.124 and the others IP , and able to get the Kubernetes CLI page
But while browsing the Control plane node IP address - 192.168.1.1 (Able to ping this) I dont get to the same page, also created a namespace - demo-app-01 which will also browse from the same IP .
But unable to do so
Require an urgent help with some ideas how to fix this

Check the files in the VM-directory.
Create a subdir "deleteme-later"
Move all *.vmss, all *.vmsd . all *.vmsn into "deleteme-later"
Try to start again.

Please help! Workstation unrecoverable error: (vmx)
Please help to fix error. Trying to solve it last 2 weeks, but have no idea what to do.
I've already tried to re-install Windows/Vmware another versions of Vmware Tools, but it didn't help.

Hi deynaomonz, and welcome to the VMware Communities!
The failure is occurring in a component responsible for sound playback/recording. The underlying issue was corrected in Workstation 15.1 but regrettably there is no fix available in Workstation 14.x. If you can not upgrade to WS 15.x, you can either:
- Remove the virtual Sound Card from your virtual machine's configuration;
OR
- Ensure that the Sound Card is configured to Connect at power on and ensure that a suitable host sound device is available.
Either of those should avoid the problem. If you still encounter crashes after trying the above, please post an updated vmware.log showing the latest failure.
